Several injured in San Juan maxi-taxi accident
Police are trying to determine what caused an accident along the Priority Bus Route (PBR) on Sunday morning which caused a maxi-taxi to crash into a wall.
While at least eight persons were said to have suffered injuries, none of the individuals were said to have sustained life-threatening wounds.
The incident took place around 10.45 am on Sunday, just east of the Croisee, San Juan, along the PBR.
The maxi-taxi was heading west at the time, when it suddenly veered left and crashed into a wall off the roadway.
The vehicle drove through the wall and into the kitchen of a businessman.
No one was in the room at the time and no one in the house was injured.
Police were told by some of the passengers it appeared as though the driver of the vehicle fell ill and was attempting to pull the vehicle to the side of the roadway before he lost control and crashed.
