Three days after kidnapping, Sheldon Sukhdeo contacts family members
Sheldon Sukhdeo, the kidnapped relative of slain businessman Sheron Sukhdeo has contacted family members.
Police sources said the call has since been traced, and officers of the Anti Kidnapping Unit are hoping that they will be able to find the 32-year-old man.
The phone call, from initial reports, lasted about four minutes.
Sukhdeo spoke to a male relative, who validated proof of life by answering questions only he would know the answers to.
Sheldon Sukdheo was reportedly abducted by armed men on December 16, 2018.
He was said to be in the company of three other people when a black SUV vehicle pulled up alongside the group.
A group of men exited the car with what appeared to be firearms and rifles and ordered Sukhdeo into the SUV.
The vehicle then drove off.
The police were immediately notified and officers from various units in the Central Division and the Anti Kidnapping Unit, under the supervision of Snr Sup Daniel, are currently investigating the report.
No one was injured in this incident.
Real Estate and used car dealer Sheron Sukhdeo was shot dead in March, during a drive-by attack outside the home of relatives at Caroni Savannah Road, Charlieville.
More on this as it becomes available.
