Shiva Boys' student among two to die in separate accidents

Two people have passed away following separate accidents that occurred just one hour apart in South East and South West, Trinidad.
Reports say around 3.50 pm, 25-year-old Shane Sampath was driving along Penal Rock Road, Penal near the Kubairsingh Hindu School when a vehicle allegedly swerved into his lane.
Sampath mashed a sudden brake causing his vehicle to flip on its hood. The front-seat passenger 17-year-old Miguel Jattan died at the scene from a suspected broken neck.
The other passengers, 25-year-old Dinesha Sampath and 20-year-old Reshan Mohammed sustained serious head and chest injuries.
They were conveyed to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment.
Jattan was a student of the Shiva Boys' Hindu College.
On its offical Facebook page, the school said, "Condolences go out to the loved ones of our past student Miguel Jattan who was tragically killed today in a vehicular accident. We will always remember him for his pleasant, quiet and respectful demeanour. May Lord Krishna guide you safely in your travels."
Meanwhile, just 50 minutes earlier, Kevin James was riding his motorcycle along Ramoo Trace, Las Lomas, when he collided with a light pole and died.
Details surrounding the accident are unknown.
