Shooting victim fighting for life at hospital
A man shot in the head in Malick on Monday remains warded in critical condition at the Port of Spain General Hospital.
The victim has been identified as Jherryl Brown of Upper Seventh Avenue, Malick.
He is fighting for his life after being shot to the back of the neck, with the bullet exiting by his mouth.
Police reports indicate that around 7:30 am on Monday Brown had just exited his home and made his way to his vehicle to drop his girlfriend and her children to school, when several explosions were heard.
A resident was then observed fleeing the scene.
Brown, police said, was found on the ground bleeding from an injury to his neck and face.
The police and emergency health services were notified and the wounded man was rushed to the hospital by a neighbour.
A team of officers from the North Eastern Division, including ASP Jaikaran, Inspector Maraj, Sgt Taylor, Cpl Garcia, WPC White, and PC Jones, visited the scene.
