Shot 12 times, Malabar man succumbs to injuries almost 2 weeks later

A 28-year-old man who was shot in a drive-by shooting earlier this month has died from his wounds.

The deceased has been identified as Kevin Parkinson of Malabar.

He was shot at least 12 times on the morning of January 4, while standing along All Starts Crescent, Malabar.

Following the shooting, residents of the area notified police and the injured man was rushed to the Arima District Health Facility where he was treated before being transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.

Parkinson succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday night.
