Shots fired at home of officer on murder charges

Police are investigating a report of a shooting on Monday in which the home of PC Roger Nicholas - one of the six officers committed to stand trial for the 2013 murders of Abigail Johnson, Alana Duncan and Kerron ‘Fingers’ Eccles - was shot at.

According to reports, the incident reportedly occurred around midday on Monday at Nicholas' home along Lazarie St, Mon Repos. 

Residents reportedly observed a white Toyota car on the roadway which was not known to them.

The vehicle then drove past Nicholas' house, during which several loud explosions were heard. 

While no one was injured in the incident, a vehicle belonging to Nicholas' relatives was said to have sustained damages, including shattered windows. 

Johnson, 20, of Burton Trace, St Mary’s Village in Moruga; Duncan, 27, of Duncan Village in San Fernando; and Eccles, 29, of St Mary’s Village in Moruga, were shot and killed on July 22, 2013, at the corner of Gunness Trace and Rochard Douglas Road in Barrackpore. 

The other five officers committed to stand trial include Sgt Khemraj Sahadeo and Constables Renaldo Reviero, Glenn Singh, Safraz Juman and Antonio Ramadin.

All six accused officers were members of the Southern Robbery Squad.
