Six Venezuelans held by police

Six Venezuelan men were detained by police following a police exercise on Monday in Penal.

The six men, said to be between the ages of 20 and 35, were held Monday during a police exercise by officers of the South Western Division Task Force, under the supervision of  Snr Sup Neville Adams.

The officers received key information which led them to conduct an exercise along Mohess Road, Penal between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm Monday.

The officers, with assistance from Immigration Police, they were able to detain six adults, who were unable to provide proof of legal entry into this country.

The men were then handed over to the Immigration officials who are expected to conduct further inquiries this weekend.

More on this as it becomes available.
