SJC POS mourns passing of teacher
Members of the St Joseph’s Convent, Port of Spain, Past Pupils’ Association issued condolences after the passing of Business and Economics teacher Wajid Mollick earlier this week.
The Association said in a statement Tuesday that Mr Mollick was well-loved by all, having taught at the school since 1976.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mr. Wajid Mollick. A devoted husband, loving father and a devout Muslim, Mr. Mollick was a teacher of Economics and Business in St.Joseph's Convent P.O.S. since 1976.
“He was approached by some students in 1980 and with them birthed our beloved "Eureka" which he has with much dedication and love managed its production ever since.
“We thank God for the blessing of Mr. Mollick, a good humored and humble man, who was loved by his students and respected by his peers. “
“The St. Joseph's Convent P.O.S. Past Pupils Association would like to express our deepest sympathy to the Mollick family. We pray for God's comfort during your time of grief.”
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon. May Allah give him an easy and pleasant journey and shower blessings on his grave,” the Association said.
The beloved teacher, who retired from the school in 2013, recently fell ill earlier this year. He taught at the school for over 37 years.
