South East residents to face water supply disruption on Thursday

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of South East Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Thursday.
According to WASA, this would take place between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm and has become necessary to facilitate emergency repair works to a ruptured 32” diameter transmission pipeline at St John’s Road, Piparo.
Areas to be affected include: New Grant, Hardbargain, Craignish Village, Matilda, St Julien, Indian Walk, Hindustan, St Mary’s Village, Cunjal, Cumuto, Whiteland, Poonah, Piparo, Morne Roche, Princes Town, Manahambre, Iere Village, Sisters Road, Buen Intento, Malgretoute, Williamsville, Barrackpore, Bronte, Borde Narve, Ste Madeline, Friendship, Penal Rock Road, Diamond Village, Golconda, Esperance and Retrench.
Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalise to some affected areas in accordance with pipe-borne water supply schedules.
