Traffic restrictions, disruptions for PoS on Friday

Traffic restrictions have been announced for a number of streets in Port of Spain, taking effect from midnight Friday.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) on Thursday advised that no parking will be allowed along St. Vincent Street, between Gordon and Sackville Streets, from 12 am, until further notice.

The TTPS further advised that there will be no entry along Abercromby Street between Knox and Park Streets, and along Duke Street between Pembroke and Edward Streets.

The TTPS is urging the public to follow all instructions and directions given by officers, in a bid to ensure everyone’s safety and security.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Works and Transport has advised of a temporary traffic disruption along the Broadway intersection between the Port of Spain Museum and the PTSC Main building, from tomorrow (Friday) until Monday.

The disruption is between the hours of 8 pm and 4 am.

The disruption will facilitate road rehabilitation and drainage works.

Motorists are advised to comply with the following:

Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.

Comply with instructions from police officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.

Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.

Drive with caution on all milled (possibly uneven) surfaces.

Motorists are further advised to drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone.
