SRP in court for allegedly tampering with log book
A Special Reserve Police (SRP) officer was due to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate on Monday, charged with misbehaviour in public office.
According to a statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), No. 6676 PC Osbourne Copeland, 31, attached to the Tunapuna Police Station, was charged with one count of misbehaviour in public office on Friday, June 8, 2018 based on the advice of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard, SC.
Copeland was charged following an investigation into a matter where he allegedly tampered with and gave a Supervisee’s Log Book to a woman, who was not authorised to access such documents, on Thursday, May 3, 2018.
PC Copeland, was charged by Sgt. Telly Denoon, of the Tunapuna Police Station, on Friday, June 8, 2018.
