A Special Reserve Police officer was held with narcotics at the Piarco International Airport on Saturday.

Investigators say the woman, who is attached to the mounted branch, was reportedly stopped and searched while attempting to board a flight at the airport.

At the time, she was with a male companion.

The man, police said, is a Jamaican national.

The two were searched and officers found on their possession a quantity of drugs.

The narcotics, police said, were “strapped” to their bodies.
