A Special Reserve Police officer has appeared in custody on allegations of uttering a forged cheque.
The officer, Stefon Rochford, was last attached to the Morvant Station.
According to reports he appeared before Magistrate Honore Narine in the First Court Wednesday where the charges were read against him, namely that he allegedly uttered a forged valuable security, and that he allegedly attempted to obtain the sum of $89,906.97 by false pretences.
The incidents allegedly took place on Monday.
The matter was then adjourned to Friday.
Rochford was remanded in custody in the interim.
