Still at large: Prison escapees release video from hiding
Prison escapees Olatunji Denbow and Michael Finley are still on the run.
The men, who are charged with the double murders of Andre La Touche and Abiola Noel who were killed at their Laventille home in February 2016, released a video on Sunday.
In the video, Denbow called on the authorities, including the Police Commissioner and Director of Public Prosecutions to investigate claims that they were framed for the murders.
The prison escapee also added that they are unarmed and willing to turn themselves in once their claims are addressed by the relevant authorities.
“Let we have we day in court, sooner than later nah, please. Mr. Prime Minister Rowley, I not hearing from you, we ent hearing nothing. Commissioner, well he put out $50,000 each, we want to hear a reply from you concerning this. And, the DPP have a big part to play. We not armed, we not dangerous. We do not intend to be dangerous. We don't intend to be a danger to society no how. We ready and willing to hand in we self. We just want fairness. As soon as alyuh ready for real justice.”
Denbow and Finley, along with six other prisoners escaped from the Golden Grove Prison, in Arouca on Wednesday.
