Stolen items found in pillow case; cops nab suspect
A pillowcase containing stolen items was recovered by police after a robbery which took place on Tuesday June 19.
According to a statement issued Thursday June 21 by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the 55-year-old San Juan victim said he was at home around 8:00 am on Tuesday June 19 when two men, one armed with a gun, entered and announced a robbery.
The men robbed the victims of a quantity of cash, jewellery and a cellular phone, before escaping on foot.
A report was made to police and an investigation launched into the incident.
Police worked quickly and detained a 35-year-old suspect of Dinsley Gardens, Tacarigua around 9:30 pm on that same day by officers of the Barataria CID.
Officers recovered a pillowcase filled with the stolen items which the man allegedly had in his possession.
