Stolen Volkswagen Jetta found in Port-of-Spain

Officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force have recovered a black Volkswagen Jetta in the Charford Court, Port-of-Spain area.

The discovery was made while the cops conducted checks in the capital on September 14.

The vehicle was found abandoned on the eastern side of Building D.

Inquiries by the officers indicated that the vehicle was unfamiliar to the residents of the area.

Further investigations with the Stolen Vehicles Unit revealed that the plates fitted to the car belonged to a grey Nissan Bluebird Sylphy. It was also revealed that the vehicle had been forcefully removed from the owner’s possession on September 12 in the St James area.

Enquiries are continuing by the Stolen Vehicles Unit.
