Strike back operations lead to seizures in Sea Lots
As part of an immediate ‘strike-back’ operation in Sea Lots community, supervised by Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith, police have seized ammunition, a firearm, a bulletproof vest, and a large quantity of drugs, all overnight.
The illegal items were seized during a police operation which involved various units including the Special Operations Response Team, the Inter-Agency Task Force, officers from the Port of Spain Division, and officers from the Canine Branch, among others.
Griffith was supported by a team of officers which included ACP Williams, ACP Forde, Snr Sup Daniel, Snr Sup Moore, ASP Ramesar, and Inspector McGuirk, among others
At the end of the exercise, a combined total of one kilogramme of cocaine was seized, along with six kilogrammes of marijuana, 278 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, a shotgun, an AK-47, a bulletproof vest.
The development comes after the death of Akani 'Dole' Adams and another man known as 'Bull' during an altercation with police officers on Thursday.
