Fast food outlets robbed in separate incidents

Police are investigating reports of robberies at two food outlets.

The Frederick Street, Port of Spain outlet of Subway was robbed of $1500, while Pizza Hut, located along the Western Main Road, St James was robbed of $6000.

Both incidents occurred on Monday.

In the first incident, money was secured in a vault at Subway earlier that day.

The supervisor made a check around 11 am and observed the cash missing.

CCTV cameras were reviewed and a former employee was seen removing the cash.

The 41-year-old woman from Chaconia Avenue, Marabella is expected to be arrested soon.

Meanwhile, workers showed up for work around 7 am at the Pizza Hut restaurant and observed that the alarm was activated and a petty cash vault in the office was pried open.

The cash which was lodged inside, was missing.
