Suspects held in connection with car thefts

Officers of the Western Division arrested two suspects wanted in connection with motor vehicle larceny and seized one silver Nissan B14 motor vehicle.

According to a statement issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), police also held 15 non-nationals who they said were in the country illegally, during a series of anti-crime exercises conducted in the Division on Friday.

Officers conducted the exercise in collaboration with various internal and external agencies, on May 17, 2019.

Additionally, three other suspects; a 24-year-old of Port of Spain, and two 23-year-olds of D’Abadie and Port of Spain, were also arrested on outstanding warrants during the exercise.

Officers conducted a series of stop and search exercises, which resulted in 20 fixed penalty tickets being issued.
