Tabaquite fire leaves four homeless

A family of four is homeless following a fire in Tabaquite.

The fire broke out at about 8 am on Monday at the family’s home along the Tabaquite Main Road.

No one was at home at the time, and no injuries were recorded.

One of the homeowners, Angela Ramlogan, who works as a Private Hire (PH) taxi driver was nearby at the time and saw the smoke coming from the community.

By the time she inquired and realized that it was her home on fire, it was too late to save any of her family’s personal belongings, and all she could do was call for assistance.

An estimate for damages has yet to be officially made.

Fire officers are also attempting to determine the cause of the blaze.

However, police have been told that Ramlogan and her family are committed to rebuilding and are asking for assistance.

Anyone wishing to assist the Ramlogan family can contact them at 357-6310 or 394- 6807.

More on this as it becomes available.
