Social media platforms are alive with the sound of music to take you through your time of social distancing and isolation.
From soca to jazz and everything in between, you can take your mind off the dread COVID-19 virus to enjoy the talent that Trinidad and Tobago has to offer via initiatives from several quarters.
If you don’t yet have an Instagram or Facebook account, now is the time to hop aboard to see what’s in stock.
Here are some music series you don’t want to miss.
Digicel Cameo Concert Series
In an effort to keep citizens connected and inject them with positivity, Digicel has contracted various artistes to perform live from their homes in this Cameo Concert Series. The series kicked off last Sunday with jazz singer Vaughnette Bigford and continued on Thursday with Preedy. This Sunday will see reggae singer Isasha in concert. The series will run indefinitely. Following the show, the performances would be available on Digicel’s Home and Entertainment Video on Demand platform. Log on to DigicelTT’s Facebook page to catch the show.
Uber Soca Quarantine Couch Cooler Fete
Ubersoca is keeping its fans entertained with its Online Quarantine Cooler Couch Fete featuring different soca artistes and DJs. Over 8000 users tuned in from 29 different countries from the Caribbean and all over the world to participate in the first one that took place last week. Caribbean Virtual Music Festival
Music Chambers will present the Caribbean Virtual Music Festival via Instagram @music
_chambers from April 3 from 8 pm. Fridays and Tuesdays. Fridays will feature a DJ and every Tuesday will feature an artiste. The series will run for the next two months.
The Trinidad and Tobago Music Company Limited will present the We Inside series via Instagram Live. The series will begin this Tuesday with Abdiel Matamora and The Cartars and will be hosted by Stef Kalloo and Marcus Braveboy.
Trini Good Media, the platform behind Festival Radio, is taking us on a musical journey every Sunday with our favourite songs. You can join their Facebook page, tell them what you want to hear and listen in to see if your song was selected. Songs range from dancehall to R&B.
