Taxi driver charged with death of man thrown off cliff

A St. Joseph man is expected to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate today, charged with the November 11 murder of Rudven Prout.
Calvin Corion, 29, a taxi driver from Farm Road, St. Joseph was charged with the offence following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard on Monday.
The 56-year-old victim of Real Street, San Juan, was found down a precipice along the North Coast Road, Maraval, on November 8.
He was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital for treatment, but died three days later.
Corion surrendered himself to officers at the Central Police Station, Port of Spain, on that same date. Investigations were supervised by ASP (Ag.) Arnold Lutchman of HBI Region 1, while Corion was charged by WPC Romane Rivers, also of HBI Region 1 on Monday.
