Teen bandits caught red-handed during robbery

Two men are currently in custody after they were caught red-handed breaking into the home of a Barataria man.

The suspects are aged 18 and 19 from Santa Cruz and El Socorro, respectively.

According to police reports, the 36-year-old victim had secured his home at Ramjass Trace, El Socorro, at 7 am on Thursday and went away.

Upon returning at midday, he observed that his home had been broken into.

The man informed police, and officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force responded quickly.

Upon their arrival, they found the two suspects hiding in a bedroom of the home.

The teens were immediately arrested.

The victim told police that, while his house was ransacked, from initial observations, nothing appeared to be missing.
