Teenager held for Princes Town home invasion

A 19-year-old man is in police custody after he allegedly robbed a 43-year-old businesswoman at her home in Princes Town.

The incident took place at about 7.30 am on Friday at the victim’s home.

Police were told the woman was in the living room when four men dressed in dark clothing entered her premises.

One of the men was armed with a firearm, while another was armed with a cutlass.

The men announced a holdup, tied up the victim, and proceeded to ransack the house searching for items of value. They stole a number of jewels, electronics, household items, and cash before escaping.

The woman was eventually able to untie herself and she raised an alarm.

He was caught in possession of some of the stolen items.
