Teenager raped twice in taxi in Central

Central Division police are investigating a report where an 18-year-old woman was raped twice by occupants of the same taxi.

The woman told police that the first incident happened at about 4:00 am on Saturday.

She said that she had entered a vehicle with three men to be taken to her home in Central Trinidad, but she was allegedly taken to a dark area off Perseverance Road, Chaguanas, where she was raped by one of the men.

The men then ordered the woman back in the car and they continued driving.

Upon reaching another dark area in Freeport, police were told, the woman was raped by one of the other men in the vehicle.

She was then ordered back into the vehicle again, and dropped off in Chase Village.

The teenager managed to flag down a vehicle, and made a report to police.

She was taken for medical examination, and a report has since been obtained by investigators.

Police are said to be using CCTV footage from cameras in the area to help identify the men.

More on this as it becomes available.
