Teens held with loaded AR15, over 100 rounds of ammo

A 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old young man are currently in custody after a high powered rifle, a pistol and over 100 rounds of ammunition were found and seized Sunday at an apartment that they were staying in.

According to police reports, a team of officers from the Southern Division, under the supervisions of Snr Sup Mohammed, Sup Rohan, and Inspector Gajadhar, made their way to a building at Petit Café, Princes Town around 8am on Sunday.

The officers executed a search warrant in the presence of the two teenagers and they allegedly found and seized a loaded AR15 firearm; a .45 pistol and over 100 rounds of assorted ammunition.

A quantity of marijuana was also found at the location.

The young men were immediately arrested and taken in for questioning.

Once charged, the two teenagers will appear in the Princes Town Magistrates’ Court.
