Temporary traffic disruption in St. Joseph on Friday

The Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) is advising the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along Maracas Royal Road, St. Joseph in the vicinity of the 3km on Friday, November 9 until early Saturday morning. 

According to a release from the Ministry, the works are intended to facilitate the reconstruction of a collapsed culvert.

The project is expected to be executed within the following time frame:

Day works: 9AM to 3PM | Night works: 6PM to 4AM 

 

Traffic Arrangement

The public is advised that single-lane traffic will be in effect along the Maracas Royal Road in the vicinity of the works. Motorists are asked to comply with the following: 

-Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers

-Comply with instructions from police officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic. 

-Drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone. 

-Be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
