Temporary traffic disruption on Valencia Main Road

The Ministry of Works and Transport (MOWT) is advising the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along the Valencia Main Road from the Valencia Junction heading 200m eastbound from Wednesday, April 3 to Thursday, April 11 between the hours of 7PM and 5AM.


In a release issued on Monday, the Ministry said the disruption was necessary to facilitate road milling works. 

Motorists are being asked to utilise Alexander Street from the Pillars (intersection of Alexander Street and the Eastern Main Road) to Church Street (Valencia Church of the Nazarene) when traversing the Valencia Main Road and the Eastern Main Road. Motorists are also asked to comply with the following: 

-Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers

-Comply with the instructions of police officers on site to facilitate the safe and orderly flow of traffic 

-Beware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site

-Motorist should drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone 

-Drive with caution on all milled (possibly uneven) surfaces

The Ministry has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
