Thieves ransack SRP's home

Police are investigating a report in which the home of a Special Reserve Police Officer was robbed.

The home of the 46-year-old officer, from Santa Flora, was discovered ransacked just after 6 pm on Monday when relatives returned to the premises.

The house had been secured at 7:30 am that day.

Entry to the home was gained by prying open a wooden louvre panel on a door to the house.

Exit was made the same way.

Among the items reported stolen was a 40 inch black Samsung flat screen TV, valued at $4000.

A team of officers led by PC Seepersad and PC Jaglal visited the scene and are continuing inquiries.

More on this as it becomes available.
