Third World celebrates 47th anniversary with live stream event
Third World is celebrating its 47th anniversary with a live stream event today.
With the spirit of the late Bunny Rugs, members Stephen “Cat” Coore, Richie “Bassie” Daley, AJ Brown, Norris "Noriega" Webband Tony “Ruption” Williams awill also premiere of their lyric video for their single “People of a different Colour” featuring Pressure and special guest Ibo Cooper.
Sponsored by Tempo Networks, NTV - Kenya, Reggae Official and powered by Ghetto Youths International, the special occasion hosted by long time friend Steve Locke in Jamaica, will be streamed live on Facebook (Third World) / IG Live (Third World) / Youtube (Ghetto Youths International Youtube) at 3pm JA Time / 4pm EST / 9pm UK
August 16 also commemorates the one year anniversary of Third World’s Grammy nominated album ‘More Work to Be Done’ produced by Damian ‘Jr.Gong’ Marley.
In honor of this celebration, the band will premiere the lyric video for “People of a Different Colour” featuring Pressure BussPipe.
This virtual celebration comes on the heels of Third World receiving the Reggae Sumfest lifetime achievement award, a modest Cat Coore who was on hand to accept the honour humbly stated: "This is not exactly the time one is thinking about awards but that's what makes this so special," he said. "We've done a lot of hard work throughout the years. We've taken a lot of hits and we've had lots of highs and lows. This is a definite high and an unexpected one at that”.
