Three held in connection with Laventille shootings

Three men are in police custody following overnight operations in Laventille.

The three are said to be between the ages of 30 and 33 and are all from Mango Alley, Laventille.

They were held during a police exercise by officers of the Inter-Agency Task Force, supervised by Snr Sup Wayne Mohammed, between 9:00 pm on Monday and 2:00 am Tuesday.

The officers received key intelligence that the men may have connections to shooting incidents in the area, and in Cunupia.

When they were held, they were not found with anything illegal, however, the three were due to be questioned on Tuesday in relation to the investigations.
