Three shot in Ste Madeline
A confrontation in Ste Madeleine on Saturday night has left three people nursing gunshot injuries.
However, police have differing accounts as to what transpired.
The victims are three men, aged 38, 32, and 29, all know each other and are from the surrounding neighbourhood.
The facts are that at about 7.40pm on Saturday, residents heard several explosions and notified police.
When officers arrived at Coquette Street Extension, they observed two victims on the ground bleeding from gunshot injuries. Both men sustained shots to their feet.
While on the scene, police were informed of a third victim who was observed in a track off Sixth Street. He was found nursing injuries to his right thigh.
Two of the victims were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital while the 32-year-old man, who was shot to his left foot, refused to go for medical treatment.
When police inquired about the shooting from the victims, they were given differing stories.
One of the victims told police that a white Nissan pulled up alongside the group and opened fire on the trio.
While another victim told police that they were shot by a man known to them.
