Three-time Tobago Calypso Monarch Henson Wright, better known as Calypso Prince, has died.

He passed away on Sunday morning.

The Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organisation (TUCO) extended its condolences to Wright’s family and friends on learning of his passing.

The Organisation remembered him for his prowess as a composer and performer who wowed audiences with his hard-hitting commentary.

“A former three times Tobago Calypso Monarch, he once sang at The Magnificent Glow Calypso Tent, and recently at the Masters Calypso Tent.

A well-respected composer he has performed at the Semifinal at Skinner Park on many occasions with some hard-hitting commentaries.”

No funeral arrangements have as yet been announced.
