Quick work by Tobago emergency responders helped a mother give birth to a healthy baby boy.
The Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) said in an update that a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Team visited a pregnant woman in Moriah on September 18, who was about to have a baby.
The team was able to take control and help with the mother's delivery:
'On Friday 18th September 2020, CERT was urgently called to aid a pregnant woman at the Adams Family home. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Team (Team Juliet) which comprised of Technicians Adika Mc Farlane, Britney Toby and Kwasi Duke responded and successfully assisted in delivering a healthy baby boy.'
TEMA said both mother and baby were transported to the Scarborough General Hospital for further medical attention.
'Kudos to the team for a job well done,' said the Agency.
