Tobago man beaten by seven men during robbery

An 18-year-old Tobago man is currently nursing injuries after he was assaulted by seven men during a robbery.

The victim, Akeem Nartman of Mary’s Hill, Tobago, told police that at about 1:00 pm on Monday he was at Chill Out Bar at Mt Pleasant Boulevard, Bon Accord, when he was approached by seven men unknown to him.

The men then confronted Nartman during which they beat him, and relieved him of his cash and valuables.

The items included a Spanish link gold chain with a pendant together valued $6000, one pair of gold earring valued $800, and one gold watch valued $300.

The total value was placed at $7,100.

The men then fled the scene.

The police were notified and officers from the Tobago Division are continuing inquiries.
