Tobago police find counterfeit money, gun, bulletproof vest

Tobago police seized a pistol, bulletproof vest and quantities of counterfeit US and TT currencies during an anti-crime exercise in Scarborough on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued Thursday by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), a pistol, two bulletproof vests and quantities of counterfeit were found during the exercise in a bushy area in Spring Garden, Scarborough around 10:45 pm.

The search resulted in one Bersa pistol, two bulletproof vests, USD$3600 and TT$160, in counterfeit currencies being discovered.

No arrest was made in connection with the finds.

The exercise was supervised by Cpl Lindrey Perry.
