Tobago police investigating sex assault of seven-year-old in classroom

Police are investigating a report of sexual assault against a seven-year-old girl in Tobago.

According to police reports, the incident took place on Friday afternoon at a primary school in Tobago.

Police said they were told that the seven-year-old girl was in a classroom with two other children around her age when she was pinned down by two boys.

The boys, police were told, ‘wined’ on the young girl without her consent.

The incident was broken up by the girl’s mother who happened to be at the school at the time.

The woman was notified by her child’s friends, and she ran into the room.

The woman made a report to the school as well as the Child Protection Unit in Tobago.

The matter is currently being investigated.
