Tobago suspect in court for rape, robbery

A 24-year-old man was due to appear before a Scarborough Magistrate on Monday on allegations of armed robbery and rape.

The suspect was held on Friday by officers of the Tobago Division, under the supervision of Snr Sup Jeffery George, during a police exercise in the district.

During that exercise, a total of 11 homes were searched and seven people were arrested.

The other six people were held on inquiries into allegations of drug possession and robbery inquiries.

The 24-year-old was held in Plymouth, Tobago.
