Tobago woman offered $100K bail for larceny charge

A Tobago woman has been charged with 16 counts of larceny. 

Richelle Walcott, 27, of Plymouth Road, Scarborough, appeared before the Scarborough Magistrates' Court on Monday to answer the charges which were laid by PC Adams. 

Walcott is accused of stealing money from a Western Union money-transfer outlet based at a supermarket at least 16 times between June and August. 

The cash amounted to an estimated over $107,000. 

After the charges were read, and submissions were made to the court, bail was granted at $100,000. 

The matter was then adjourned to October 26.
