Too Much Talent presents Never Settle: Vaughnette Bigford
When it comes to Jazz, Vaughnette Bigford has established herself as one of the leading vocalists in the country, no small feat for a girl from La Brea.
With an ever-growing following, Bigford has carved a niche for herself by reviving local pop songs and putting new arrangements on classic calypsoes and incorporating them into her repertoire.
Always fashionably attired in designs from Point Fortin-based designers Zadd and Eastman, Bigford works with some of the best musicians in the business, among them Theron Shaw, who she credits for giving her a space on the national stage.
One of the thousands who lost her job when Petrotrin closed its doors recently, Bigford today is pursuing her music full time, staging her own shows while appearing on star-studded casts at various events.
In this second edition of Too Much Talent presents Never Settle, powered by Hennessy, she talks to us about her career, the challenges and why she will never settle.
