Top Cop attends IACP conference in Chicago
Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith is currently attending the International Association of Commissioners of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exposition.
According to a statement from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Commissioner Griffith was invited by the US Embassy and accepted the invitation.
The conference is taking place at McCormick Place West-Skyline Ballroom in Chicago, USA.
The TTPS says Commissioner Griffith’s attendance forms part of ongoing efforts to ensure that the Police Service adheres to international best practices and policies in law enforcement.
It says the forum encourages discourse while showcasing new strategies, techniques, resources, and products to assist in effectively managing an ever-changing policing environment.
US President Donald Trump will deliver the feature address on Monday.
The IACP takes place annually and is a significant event for law enforcement personnel and agencies globally.
The four-day conference will conclude on Tuesday.
