Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith met with a delegation from the American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago (AMCHAM T&T) on Friday.
A five-member team led by Chief Executive Officer, AMCHAM T&T, Nirad Tewarie, met with Commissioner Griffith at the Office of the Commissioner of Police.
Discussions centred around collaboration on initiatives to bridge the gap among the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), AMCHAM T&T, and the TTPS Youth Clubs.
The Commissioner said that he looked forward to such collaboration, stating that that there will be greater focus on community policing and also he agreed that AMCHAM T&T should meet with the Community Relations Unit of the TTPS.
The AMCHAM T&T expressed their desire to deepen their relationships with the TTPS and cooperate in the area of combatting cyber-crime and white collar crimes and reiterated its support for the Commissioner of Police and the Police Service.
