Tourism Ministry: Works at Maracas beach may hamper visitor experience

The Ministry of Tourism is seeking to provide members of the public with an update on works which are currently underway at Maracas beach.
According to a statement issued on Friday, phase one of upgrade works are currently being carried out by NIDCO, on behalf of the Ministry of Works and Transport, at the Maracas Beach Facility.
These works in progress include the transition to a new wastewater treatment plant located adjacent to the car park and the demolition of the old wastewater treatment plant located west of the Life Guard Building.
This changeover exercise of the wastewater treatment plant at the Maracas Beach Facility is expected to be completed within one week and may affect the usual visitor experience. As such, patrons are advised to exercise all necessary caution.
