Tourism Trinidad Limited (TTL) is welcoming the return of Senator Randall Mitchell as the Minister of Tourism.
Culture and the Arts have also been added to the portfolio, TTL sees this as an obvious nod that the industry will be looking in a new direction.
“We look forward to building a constructive relationship based on a shared vision of a strong indigenous creative industry in this expanded portfolio that integrates the tourism sector with the vibrant culture and art sector to promote Destination Trinidad to citizens, visitors and investors,” they wrote.
Both organisations say that in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, they look forward to what the future of the industry may look like.
“Tourism Trinidad is delighted to be working in this new dynamic where it is very clear that Trinidad tourism must go in a new direction with respect to doing business, and actively partnering with the private sector by supporting, delivering, and promoting tourism and cultural experiences,” they added.
They’re welcoming the new, out of the box approach and are eager to hit the ground running with a new focus in mind.
