Traffic alert: Removal of Bailey Bridge on North Coast Road

Drivers are advised that part of the North Coast Road will be temporarily closed to facilitate the removal of the existing Bailey Bridge for continued slope stabilisation works.

The Ministry of Works and Transport said in a statement issued October 18, 2019, that the traffic disruption will take place along the North Coast Road at the 11.5km mark from Wednesday, October 23 at 8.00 pm until Thursday, October 24 at 8.00 pm.

The Ministry said single lane traffic will still be in effect until the completion of the project.

Drivers are therefore asked to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs, barriers and traffic signals, to drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone and to comply with instructions from police officers to ensure safety at the site at all times.

Drivers are also advised to look out for heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
