Traffic Alert: Repair work for Beetham Highway over Easter weekend

A temporary traffic disruption will be in place along the Beetham Highway for the duration of the Easter weekend to facilitate repair works on the eastbound lane of the highway.
The Works and Transport advised that the disruption will begin at 6 pm on Good Friday and continue until 6 pm on Easter Monday.
The Beetham Highway West Bound will be a dual carriageway, with two lanes heading West and one lane Heading East between the lighthouse and Abattoir Road.
One lane heading East on the eastbound will remain open.
Motorists are asked to utilise alternative routes through Lady Young Road and the Market Overpass, to access the city, and to avoid delays.
Motorists are further advised to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers, comply with instructions from police officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic, drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone, and be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
