Traffic alert: Works on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway

Drivers are advised of possible traffic as a result of works along the westbound lane of the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.
The Ministry of Works and Transport said in an update today that the disruption would take place from tomorrow (October 27) to Tuesday, November 10, along the westbound lane of the highway between the Macoya intersection and the University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine campus.
The Ministry said this is necessary to facilitate road rehabilitation works.
The Ministry said the work will take place from 8pm to 4:30 am.
In light of this motorists are advised to observe directional signs and barriers and drive at a reduced speed on approaching the work zone.
Drivers must comply with instructions from officers on-site and exercise caution around heavy equipment and milled or uneven surfaces.
The Ministry apologised for the inconvenience and thanked the public for its cooperation.
