Traffic restrictions in place for National Awards ceremony

Traffic restrictions are in place for the National Awards ceremony.

It will take place at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA), Port of Spain on Tuesday night.

The ceremony is carded to begin at 6pm.

The restrictions are in effect from 2pm to 12 midnight on Tuesday.

Parking prohibited

A driver  of a motor vehicle shall not park along:

Queen’s Park West, between Queen’s Part East and Dundonald Street;

Keate Street, between Charlotte Street and Chancery Lane;

Gordon Street, between Charlotte Street and Dundonald Street;

Frederick Street, between Gordon Street and Queen’s Park West;

Abercromby Street, between Gordon Street and Keate Street;

Pembroke Street, between Gordon Street and Keate Street; and

Chancery Lane

Road closed:

A driver of a motor vehicle shall not proceed on:

Frederick Street; between Queen’s Park West and Gordon Street;

Keate Street, between Charlotte Street and Chancery Lane; and

Pembroke Street, between Gordon Street and Keate Street

 A driver of a motor vehicle proceeding:

north on Charlotte Street, may turn west onto Gordon Street; and

north on Henry Street, shall turn west onto Gordon Street

Removal and impounding of vehicles unlawfully parked:

Without prejudice to any liability incurred by the commission a summary offence, vehicles found parked in contravention of this Order may be removed by the Police and impounded.
