Traffic restrictions from Thursday at Couva-Preysal Overpass

Traffic disruptions will be in place beginning on Thursday to facilitate the replacement of a cylinder crossing along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, north of the Couva-Preysal Overpass.

The disruptions will continue until March 25.

Traffic restrictions and diversion routes will be in place during construction as follows:

• March 7, 2019 from 10 am to March 10, 2019 at 8 pm. Exit to Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway northbound will be closed to all vehicular traffic. Access will be facilitated via the existing southern exit.

• March 9, 2019 from 10 am to March 10, 2018 at 8 pm. Exit from Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway southbound to Preysal/ Gran Couva will be closed to all vehicular traffic. Access will be facilitated via Couva exit where a right turn will be allowed under police direction.

• March 15, 2019 from 10 pm to March 18, 2019 at 4 am. Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway southbound will be closed to all vehicular traffic. Traffic will be diverted to the overpass and back to the Highway.

• March 22, 2019 from 10 pm to March 25, 2019 at 4 am. Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway northbound will be closed to all vehicular traffic. Traffic diverted to the overpass and bade to the Highway.

Motorists are advised to proceed with extreme caution and observe all directional signs and barriers, follow instructions from police officers on site to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic, and be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting the site.
