Traumatised and violated: Nikki Crosby recounts robbery

Comedienne Nikki Crosby is thanking God for life after she and her husband Gerry Clarke were among the victims of an armed robbery in Diego Martin on Saturday.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the artiste recounted the ordeal.

Crosby recalled that she and her husband were shopping at Artie’s Meats around 2pm when gunmen ran into the store and announced a holdup.

The assailants ordered everyone to drop to the floor as they proceeded to rob patrons at the establishment of mobile phones, cash and even wedding rings.

While Crosby is thankful that she and others were unharmed, she felt violated as the gunmen “feel me and another woman up”.

She said the incident left her traumatised.

Western Division police apprehended the suspects and most of the stolen items were recovered.

Artie’s Meats said it will be increasing security at its Diego Martin store and will be open for business as usual on Monday.
